REPLACING THE SECTION OF ROTTEN WALL
After stripping out the interior, we found a section of the external wall to be rotten. It was expected as it is a 30 yr old lorry that carried horses all its life and the walls are made out of 18mm grp covered ply.
Luckily it was only a section at the bottom down the nearside about 10" high.
This was probably the most daunting task we have faced so far in this conversion as we had to cut out a whole section of the external wall and replace with new. It took us a while to work out the best way to this without causing too much damage and having to replace the whole side of the lorry which would have cost a lot more funds than we had access to.
